Clarence Jansing Obituary

Clarence L. Jansing, of Brookville, was born on October 25, 1932, in St. Mary’s, Indiana a son to Richard and Bertha Kruthaupt Jansing.  He was a veteran, serving his country in the United States Army. Clarence married Laverne Rosfeld at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in 1955 and they shared almost 70 years together and raised five children.  He owned Jansing Refrigeration, retiring when he was 85 years old. Clarence considered farming one of his favorite past-times – for 69 years!  He and Laverne did everything together and they especially loved family gatherings, camping, fishing, butchering, and gardening.  Clarence was a life-long member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, and a 50 + year member of the St. Leon American Legion and the Brookville VFW.   He enjoyed volunteering and took pride in his time helping at St. Peter’s Parish.  On Sunday, January 1, 2025, at the age of 92, he passed away at his residence with family by his side.
