Jerry Saxton, Sr. Obituary
Jerry Donald Saxton, Sr., died Friday, September 13, 2024. Jerry was a retired Chief Assessor for the Bibb County Tax Assessor's Office. Preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Saxton, and a great grandson, Julian Saxton, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Knight Saxton; their children, Jerry Saxton, Jr., and Dawn Saxton Knight; grandchildren, Jolie Knight, James Saxton, Jamie Saxton; and 7 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 18th at Sherwood Memorial Park, with Mr. Bobby Knight officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA at www.secure.aspca.org Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Donehoo-Lewis Funeral Home, Hapeville. 404-761-2171
