Albany Levi Dwight Ellis, 36 of Albany, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Middleport. - He's off on the final ride.
Born May 17, 1988, he was the son of the late William Hayes and Connie Jo (Dog) Ellis. Levi attended Alexander Local Schools, and he worked as an operator in the International Operating Engineers, Local 18.
Levi developed a love for motorcycles early in life and began riding at around age five. He shared the love of motorcycles with his mentor and uncle, Kenny Coen, for whom he had great respect and admiration. He also had a special bond with Buford Smallwood and Brian Woodgerd and lifelong friends, Anthony Howery, Brian Jeffers, and Jodi Dearth. Levi loved his family and friends fiercely; he loved and protected the babies and women in his life, and he was loyal to his circle. He loved his momma and his son, each of them his pride and joy. Levi was always ready for a ride, an adventure. He is loved by many, and he will be desperately missed by all who love him.
Besides his mother, Levi is survived by his son, Mackenzie (Mack) Levi Ellis, the mother of his son, Kristen Arment and her daughter, Lorelei; his girlfriend, Makyla Cambell her children that he loved as his own, Kaden and Amelia; a large extended family including aunts and uncles: Cheryl and Brad Reese, Kay and Tim Sayre, Carol and Gary Hamon, Kim Perry, Karen and Bruce Markins, and Kenny Ellis. He was survived by siblings Macenzie Hayes and Jeffrey Bodine Hayes, nephews Dozer, Bryon, Jeffrey, Fisher, and Jaymeson and nieces Shannon, Saylor, and Emlynn.
Besides his father, William Hayes (Noodle), Levi was preceded in death by grandparents Kenneth and Louise Ellis (Mammy), sister Vikki Hayes, brother Brian Hayes, aunt Cindy Ellis and uncle Timmy Workman, uncle Bruce Perry, Grandma Millie and Papaw Coen, and special friends Gary Wymer and Chad Thomas.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday August 19 at 1:00pm at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home in Albany with Pastor Donnie Quesinberry officiating. Friends and family may call on Sunday, August 18 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. The burial will be at Smallwood Cemetery at 27376 Price Strong Road, Vinton.
