Ellen M. Whitehill
Ellen M. Whitehill, age 77, of Sea Cliff, NY, passed away August 30, 2024.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late James and Helen White. Ellen had a keen intellect, aptitude for medicine, and enjoyed her work with various physicians as a medical transcriptionist. On the home front, she loved her Village of Sea Cliff, her front porch, and cooking, which she considered her love language. In addition to being an avid reader, Ellen was well-known for completing multiple national crossword puzzles daily. In addition to her neighbors, family and friends, Ellen was devoted to her Scottish Terrier, Jessie.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas Whitehill.
Survivors include her daughter Christine Scherma Marin and her husband Marc, stepdaughters Tara Grossman and her husband George and Katherine Livingston and her husband Keith; five brothers and sisters, Vivian Trebbien, and her husband Al, Martha Schafer, James White and his wife Rhonda, Melissa Ciuffini and her husband Thomas, Walker White and his wife Carolyn; and cherished grandchildren Kyle, Julia, and Maya, Tory and Alexandra, Robert and Schuyler, and great-grandchild, Kiliaen and many nieces and nephews.
Services are private.
