Ryan Hampton Obituary
Ryan P. Hampton, 18, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024. He was born December 7, 2005, in Park Ridge, IL and has been a longtime resident of Lindenhurst. He recently graduated from Lakes Community High School in Lake Villa, IL in 2024 and was a dedicated electronic sports or "esports" state competitor, specializing in Mario Kart. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, including playing airsoft and video games like Red Dead Redemption, as well as fishing and golf. Ryan was a lover of the Star Wars and Marvel Avengers franchises and had a long-time passion for collecting and building many impressive Lego sets. He was a dedicated and self-disciplined young man, exercising almost every day and building his own computer. Ryan will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Surviving are his parents, Denise (David) Zmuda & David (Jill Lueders) Hampton; older sister, Kelli Hampton; triplet siblings, Eric & Kate Hampton; maternal grandmother, Patricia Grumstrup; paternal grandfather, James Hampton; aunts & uncles, Kristin (Todd) Lewis, Debbie (Mark) Sperry & Kathy Hampton; cousins, Maggie & Christopher Lewis, Austin, Madison & Morgan Sperry and by many loving family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Grumstrup and by his paternal grandmother, Patricia Hampton.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. in Libertyville. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple Ave. in Libertyville. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery.
