Gary Wilson Obituary
November 30, 1934 - November 21, 2024
Gary Franklin Wilson passed away on November 21, 2024, in Eckert, Colorado, just days before their 90th birthday.
Gary is survived by his spouse, Helen J. Wilson, and four children: Jacquelyn Burfiend, Gary T. Wilson, Maureen Kahoopii, and Patricia Moreno Monroy. He was preceded in death by three children: Loretta Schmidt, Michael Wilson, and Linda Naniseni. Gary's legacy lives on through 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
A beloved part of Gary's life was the time spent at the family cabin near Electric Mountain. He was a long-standing member of the Delta Elks and found joy and camaraderie among His extended community at the Pondy in Cedaredge.
A committal service with military honors will be held on June 12, 2025, from 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, located at 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, Colorado. A gathering will follow at the Grand Junction Elks Lodge, 249 S 4th St, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
