Amy Haines-Glaxner Obituary

Amy Ileene "Mama Star" Haines-Glaxner, 62, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully at midnight on February 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with a swift illness.

Born on December 26, 1963, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Amy "Star" spent most of her life in Colorado. At age 50, she followed her spirit to New Orleans, where she lived for three years and fell deeply in love with the city's magic and mysticism. She was preparing for another adventure abroad to Vietnam in March 2026.

For 39 years, she shared a close and devoted life with her daughter, Luna Glaxner. Together they created a warm home in a quiet area of Denver with their beloved cats, Kaskaë and Mishkå, whom she adored.

Amy "Star" devoted much of her life to the study and practice of healing therapies, helping and uplifting many people over the years. She was a kind and gracious woman who honored all beings and the paths they walked. Often described as the sweetest, kindest, and most loving person one could ever meet, she was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Unapologetically herself, Amy "Star" never conformed to society's expectations, choosing instead to live authentically and with an open heart.

She is survived by her daughter, Luna; her adopted son, Trevor; her siblings, Brad, Kyle, and Brooke; and many dear friends who loved her deeply.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated, and her ashes will be shared with friends and family to be spread in peaceful places of calm solitude and tranquility.

Amy "Star" was a beacon of light. She will forever be our shining star in the sky. She will be greatly missed, but her memory and teachings will live on in all who knew and loved her.

ANDY LANSING CAFFERY

February 26, 2026

Ms. Amy (Mimi) was my next door neighbor when she lived in New Orleans years ago. I found her to be one of the most interesting, spiritual, and fun ladies I'll ever know. I'm so sorry we didn't keep in touch. We had the best porch parties on weekends. I'll pour a glass of Electric Reindeer Pinot Noir and think of you this Christmas, Mimi. Cheers, Cheers to you, Darling!
