Chris Walker Obituary

Chris Allen Walker passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado, just four days shy of his 75th birthday. He was the loving father of daughter, Catherine Walker Romans, and son-in-law, Jack Houston Romans III. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on June 12, 1950, to Nolan and Polly Walker, he was one of five children.
Chris served his country as a Wireman in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned home and began his career as a barber. His chair wasn't just a place for haircuts-it was a safe space where stories were told, photos exchanged, and friendships were forged for over 40 years.
From his earliest days, Chris was a rebel with a rock and roll soul. He found joy playing the drums, enjoying great food, and in every road trip and wild adventure. He insisted that maintaining a sense of humor was the secret ingredient in life, and he always appreciated a good joke.
Though he cherished his years in San Diego and eventually made a home in Charleston, SC, Baltimore always held a special place in his heart. Chris moved to Colorado in his final years to be closer to his daughter, Catherine, and her husband, Jack (Trey).
While our hearts mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing his soul is finally at peace and free from a body and mind that no longer served him and his vibrant spirit.

A private memorial service will be held for Chris at Fort Logan in Denver, Colorado. In keeping with Chris' wishes, his final resting place will be in nature, where he will be wild and free once again.
