Connie Bagley Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Jean Bagley, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Connie departed this world on April 6, 2026, after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. She was 74.

Born on October 20,1951, in Gary, Indiana, Connie entered the world with a bright spirit that would touch the lives of everyone she encountered. She was the cherished daughter of Mary and Stanley Soohey, who predeceased her and now welcome her into eternal rest.

Connie was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Deloss Bagley Jr.

Connie's sense of humor was legendary among those who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to light up a room with her infectious laughter, and her generosity knew no bounds. Her kind soul left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

Connie leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly: her daughter Fallon Jean Bagley and son-in-law Joseph; her son Bernard Deloss Bagley III (and family), her siblings Barbara Spencer, Sharon Szwedo, Richard Soohey ,Mary Watts, Dennis Soohey ,Bonnie Soohey, (and spouses). She also leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart. And many friends.

Connie was predeceased by her dear sister Bobbie.

Connie's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time.

In the words of her daughter , "She fought silently, loved endlessly, and deserved more than what life handed her. She deserved peace. She deserved joy. And I carry her strength and her story with me every single day."

As we bid farewell to Connie Jean Bagley, let us celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the precious memories she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those she now joins in eternity.

God's Garden

God saw you getting tired

and a cure was not to be

so He put His arms around you

and whispered, "Come to Me."

With tearful eyes we watched you

and saw you pass away

and although we love you dearly

we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating

hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.
