Cynthia S Thero, 81 of Denver Colorado, passed away on November 21, 2022, after a tenacious fight to live life to its fullest after three strokes, an amputation, and a bout with some version of COVID-19.
Cynthia was born on July 7th, 1941, to James G. Cudmore and Nedra O. Cudmore in Denver. She graduated from East High School in 1959 and went on to graduate from Colorado State University, to then earn her Masters, then Ph.D. in Adult Education and Psychology at the University of Northern Colorado.
Cynthia began her professional career as a teacher of history eventually to become Associate Vicar of Education for the Archdiocese of Denver and finally running her own business for 25 years as a corporate training consultant and master coach with offices on three continents. Her company was industry leader and innovator where she designed and developed a coaching and training business as well as supervised a bench of talented coaches internationally from 1985 until 2005. Had she not been robbed of her voice; she probably would have continued until this last week. She drove fast, asked tough questions, and changed a lot of lives.
Cynthia met Dale E Thero in college and was married to him for 17 years. Together they had two children, Dale "Chip" Thero II, and Jennifer Thero Long. Cynthia cherished family and friends and celebrated both as often as possible with gatherings, parties, and games. Some still remember these parties. They were that much fun.
She played a mean game of charades and was a fierce opponent in gin rummy. She was up for anything most of time. She is survived by her sister Betty Bucher and her two children Chip and Jennifer and their children Paden Thero, Madisen Thero, Rhiannen Thero, William Long, Connor Long and Jack Long who continue to honor her with every round of Shanghai they play together. Last card!
Her celebration of life and legacy will occur on St. Patrick's Day 2023, where her descendants and friends will uphold the long-held tradition of family celebrating family.

I will miss "Zoom-Zoom" Thero. What a fine lady who was fun to be with. My wife and I met her at the Tuesday morning Stroke Survivors group in Aurora. We loved her many stories.
