Damiann Elena Vigil DeHoyos, affectionately known as "Dayme," left this world on January 20, 2026, in her beloved city of Denver, Colorado. Born on March 20, 1974, Dayme was a vibrant spirit whose life was filled with joy, creativity, and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
For over 35 years, Dayme dedicated her career as a hair and makeup artist. Her passion for beauty and transformation extended beyond the professional realm; she formed lifelong bonds with her clients, many of whom became as cherished as family to her. With a keen artistic eye and a talent for making others feel their best, she poured her heart into every hairdo and makeup application, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
Dayme was not only known for her professional accomplishments but also for her unique personality. Those who knew her would describe her as crazy and outgoing, with an infectious energy that could light up any room. She was goofy and funny, often embodying the role of jokester among her friends and family. Her talkative nature meant that conversations with her could stretch for hours, filled with laughter and warmth. Creative at heart, she loved to draw, make jewelry, and spend time being crafty, finding joy in the simplest of activities.
Her proudest achievements came from her family. Dayme was immensely proud of her daughters, Leigh, Serenity, and GillyAna, whom she cherished above all else. Each of her children carried a piece of her spirit, and her love for them was boundless. She also took immense pride in obtaining her cosmetology license, a testament to her determination and hard work.
Family meant the world to Dayme. She is survived by her loving mother, Linda; her devoted husband, Jose; her brother Tj; and her sisters Erin (Chris) and Brenna. She also leaves behind her cherished nephews Gabriel, Estevan, Isaiah, Evelio, Michael, and her niece Rebecca. Each of these relationships held a special place in her heart, exemplifying the deep bond she shared with her loved ones.
Dayme's loyal companion, her dog Zeus, completed her joyous life, bringing unconditional love and companionship into her world. These tender moments with family, friends, and her dog will forever be treasured memories of a person who embraced life to its fullest.
While Dayme is now reunited with her father, Theodore Vigil, and her cousin Gilbert Salazar, her spirit remains alive in the hearts she touched throughout her journey. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on February 13, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro, in Denver, where family and friends are invited to come together to remember a truly remarkable woman who lived her life with passion, creativity, and an abundance of love. Her legacy will forever inspire those who were fortunate to know her.
