Daniel Evans Obituary

Daniel (Dan) Earl Evans was born on July 19, 1956, to Mary Lou and Chuck Evans, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was raised in Colorado and graduated from Northglenn High School in 1974.Dan proudly served his country by first enlisting in the United States Army, where he served for three years. After completing his Army service, he attended the University of Kansas for one year before continuing his military career with four years of service in the United States Marine Corps.

While in the service Dan enjoyed volunteering in various countries to help others learn English. Dan also enjoyed playing racquetball and was able to play in many international tournaments while serving.Following his military service, Dan spent most of his adult life living in Florida where he enjoyed many lasting friendships and playing golf with friends, old and new.

In 2021 Dan returned to Colorado, where he remained until his passing, Jan. 10th, 2026. While in Colorado Dan enjoyed attending many of his great nieces' and nephew's sporting events.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Evans; his sister, Kris Cunningham; and his niece, Jennifer Shigekawa. He is survived by his mother, Mary Lou; brother, Mike; sister, Teri; brother Brad and wife Mikaela; nephews, Bill and wife Jessica; Dylan and Carter; and great nieces and nephews Makayla, Kennedy, Madison and Grant.

Dan will be remembered for his dedication to his country and the enduring bonds he shared with family and friends.

Dan's memorial service will be held Monday, Jan. 26th, 2026 10am at Adamson's Life Celebration Home in Greeley with military graveside interment at Mizpah Cemetery/ Platteville Veteran's Memorial at 1:30pm
