Doris Oberg Obituary

Doris Oberg, lovingly known as "Nana," passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, just days after celebrating her 94th birthday, at her home in Clermont Park Christian Living Community.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, on June 30, 1931, to Robert and June Miller, Doris spent most of her life in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from South High School in 1949, where she was crowned Senior Prom Queen.

Doris lived a vibrant and full life. In her youth, she loved skating with friends and dancing to big bands at Elitch Gardens-insisting she had to have a date every weekend. She held a variety of jobs she loved, from working at a soda shop on South Broadway to being a bank teller, and later, a flight attendant for Frontier Airlines in the early 1950s.

She was married for 54 years to the love of her life, Bob, who preceded her in death in 2018. She also mourned the loss of her older son Mark in 2009. Doris is survived by her son Gary, daughter-in-law Debbie, and grandchildren Melissa and Robbie, who were the lights of her life.

Doris enjoyed golfing at Las Verdes Country Club, had a passion for knitting, and hand-tied countless dream catchers that she proudly sold to merchants across Colorado.

She will be remembered for her warmth, strength, creativity, and the deep love she gave to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she left behind.

An open house celebration of her life will be at Gary and Deb's house on south Krameria St. on Sunday July 20th from 2-5pm.

Call Gary at 303-810-5271 if you need additional information.
