I considered Earl Old Person as my uncle, Earl and my mother Margaret were like brother and sister he was always there when she needed help be for she passed from TB in 1964, realistically Earl is my second cousin, His Mother Molly and My Grand mother Cecille were sisters from the Bear medicine family. I considered Earl and Joe Bear Medicine my elders and I am very honored that Joe and Earl did the Indian names ceremony for my grand children when they received their indian names, Earl honored my grand children with my grand father Jim Weaseltail song, and I was again honored when Earl assisted me and my family during the memorial service we had for my brother Keith Weaseltail and my aunt Rose Weaseltail, Bull Child, Earl sang my Grand fathers song and the soldier boy song to honor my brother. Yes we have lost a great man, I have a lot of good memories of Earl, especially when I lived at the bottom of Star School. it was a family community. I have a lot to be thankful for I have two chiefs in my family Chief Weaseltail and Chief Old Person, God bless what family I have left love and prayers
