Elaine Rodriguez Obituary

Loading

Elaine Kay (Najera) Rodriguez was born in Denver, Colorado on December 4th 1957. Elaine grew up attending Barrett and Ashland Elementary, Skinner Middle School, and Ranum High School. Her free spirit and sharp sense of humor made her the life of the party in any room she entered. As the eldest sibling, she took great pride in caring for her family-a role that defined her generous heart for the rest of her life.

Elaine channeled her hard-work ethic into various administrative roles. The job she was most proud of was her role as the PA announcer at Stapleton International Airport and DIA. She received employee of the year and was very proud to be the "Voice of the Airport." Later in life, she brought her infectious energy to Phil's Place, where she was a customer favorite, serving as both their favorite bartender and queen of the jukebox.

Above all, Elaine's heart belonged to her family. In 1982, she married the love of her life Timmy. Together they built a beautiful life centered around their children, Felicia and Ricky. Elaine took great pride in her family, eventually growing to include three grandchildren Dominique, Gianna, and Chace and a great-grandson, Oakie. The "glue" of her family, Elaine ensured everyone was always well-fed and well-loved.

Elaine found joy in the simple things: a good game of pool, cooking for her loved ones, and listening to her favorites like Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, and Outkast. Her unwavering faith and big heart meant she treated every child as her own and always showed up for family when it mattered most.

Elaine was called home on March 10th 2026, at the age of 68. Elaine is survived by her loving mother, Maryann Rodriguez; her husband, Timmy Rodriguez; her daughter, Felicia (Corey) Riley; her son, Ricky Rodriguez; grandchildren Dominique, Gianna, and Chace; great-grandson Oakie; her brother, Artie; and a host of extended family and dear friends. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the laughter and love she left behind. This legacy will be carried on through her family. We love you to the moon and back.

Elaine Rodriguez's Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 11th at 11:00 AM at Word Alive Church 650 E. 124th Ave, Thornton, CO, 80241. A reception will be held at the same location immediately following the service. We invite everyone to wear their favorite shade of pink in honor of Elaine.
