Send FlowersEloisa M. Jaramillo, affectionately known as “La Polla” passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in Westminster, CO. She was 93 years old.
Eloisa was born on February 13, 1933, in Santa Anna, TX to Asencion Martinez and Dolores De La Rosa. On August 11, 1951, she married Lucio Jaramillo in Coleman, TX. Together they went on to have four children: Jose, Dolores, Lucinda, and Antonio.
In 1971 after working for 10 years at Samsonite Eloisa retired and spent her time caring for her second set of children, born 20 years after Dolores was born; Lucinda and Antonio. Eloisa loved listening to her 8 tracks during the summer months, while she cleaned, cooked, made tortillas, and drank her bud lights. She enjoyed going to yard sales and boy was she always making a deal! She loved spending time with the entire family at outings or gatherings at her home. Eloisa loved going back to Texas to visit her family, she enjoyed watching her Dallas Cowboys and her Houston Astros. Eloisa was always making people laugh, her smile was contagious and always had a smile on her face. She welcomed you into her home and there was always a place to stay, she fed you well as she loved to cook.
Eloisa is survived by her children: Jose Jaramillo, Dolores M. “Lola” Jaramillo, Lucinda A. “Lucy” Ruelas sp. Guadalupe, and Antonio “Tonio” Jaramillo sp. Layla, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and her brother, Adolfo “Tiger” Martinez, numerous nieces and nephews.
Eloisa is proceeded in death by her husband, Lucio Jaramillo, her parents Asencion Martinez and Dolores De La Rosa, her brother, Eutimio Martinez, and Ofelia DeLeon.
