Jim (Emory James) Zeiger died February 16, 2025, while in Hospice at Brookdale-Greenwood Village,Colorado. Jim lived for 30-plus years in Denver and leaves behind his theatre family and friends as well as actual relations. His passion was communication, which he demonstrated as a radio announcer, actor, director, set and lighting designer, professor, audio-book narrator, and, when needs must, as a car or furniture salesman. He also was a scholar and academic who returned to college at age 45 and earned a PhD in Theatre from the University of Colorado in 2000.

Jim's adventurous life included: During the Vietnam War Era, he served as a radio/TV producer and DJ with the U.S. Army, Armed Forces Korea Network. Back in the States in 1969, he was the program director for KCUR-FM radio in Kansas City, MO during the anti-war protests. At about that time, he married Dinah Franks, and they invested in breeding and showing American Saddlebred horses, a business maintained for nearly 20 years (including a four-year stint working abroad in London and Brussels). While in Brussels Jim narrated documentaries for the World Bank and RTFB Belgian Television, as well as serving as artistic director of the American Theater of Brussels. He later performed with the Odyssey Theater in Los Angeles, the Colorado Shakespeare Theater in Boulder CO, Curious Theater in Denver, Denver Civic Theater, Actors' Ensemble of Boulder, and just for fun, Richmond-upon-Thames Templars in London. Recently, teaching and audiobook narration filled most of his schedule.

He also found time to ski, hike and generally enjoy Colorado's wonderful offerings, from food to music, both jazz and classical. His final few years were less active, as various physical ailments slowly constricted his movement. He is now a child of the universe.
