Ernie Paul "Twiss" Fuentes

E rnie was born on May 18, 1984, in Brighton, CO, to Daniel Fuentes and Teresa Gutierrez, and was the second oldest out of three children. He was born and raised in Brighton, CO. Ernie grew up very athletic and was involved in many sports, including wrestling, baseball, and football. He attended public schools in Brighton, including Northeast Elementary, Overland Trail Middle School, and Brighton High School.

Ernie was always a hardworking individual and held many different jobs throughout his lifetime. Most recently, he worked as a sand blaster at Coblaco Services, Inc. in Henderson, CO, and as a forklift operator at Norfolk Iron & Metal in Brighton.

Ernie met his life partner, Sheena Fuentes, in 2014. They got married on July 15, 2022. In his free time, Ernie enjoyed working outside in the yard or fixing his cars up with the best electronics. The one thing he enjoyed doing most was spending time with his family by having BBQ cookouts during the summer.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Sheena; parents, Teresa (David) Gutierrez and Daniel Fuentes; one daughter, Anola (9), and four stepchildren. He was also like a father to his niece & nephews, Jericha, Deion, Ezekiel (13), and Israel (11). He is preceded in death by both siblings, Geno and Rachel Fuentes.
