Evan Alexander Dunn of Littleton died in the line of duty as an officer for the Golden Police Department.
Evan grew up in Columbia, Missouri. He attended Rock Bridge High School. He went on to Columbia College where he joined the Army ROTC. While at college, he met the love of his life, Annalise Morrison. In 2015 Evan graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor's Degree in business. Following graduation he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Missouri Army National Guard and was selected to be trained as an Army aviator, specializing in the Black Hawk helicopter. Evan later commanded a medevac unit at Springfield, MO.
Evan and Annalise were married in 2017 in Columbia, MO, moved to Kansas City and then Fayetteville, AR. In 2021 the couple moved to the Denver area where Evan served in the Colorado Army National Guard. In 2022 Evan joined the Golden Police Department as a Code Enforcement Officer. He later entered the police academy and became a Golden Police Officer in June, 2024.
Evan is survived by his beloved wife Annalise, their dog Remy, his parents Lucinda and William of Columbia, MO, his siblings Aubrey (Caleb) Rowden, Columbia, MO, and William Tyler (Mindy) Dunn, Centralia, MO. He is also survived by his grandparents Laura and Robert Ertz, Columbia MO, and Elizabeth Dunn, Kingdom City, MO. Preceding Evan in death were his grandfathers, David Waage and James Dunn. Evan is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Private services will be held.
