Francis Joseph Croteau passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025. “Frank” was born November 13, 1936, in Belcourt, ND to Henry and Ernestine (LeBrun) Croteau.
Frank left Belcourt to attend the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, KS, now known as Haskell Indian Nations University. He moved to Denver, CO in 1957 where he met the love of his life Benita “Bea” LaPointe. They married on June 3, 1959, sharing 57 years together before her passing. Frank is survived by his children Lynn, Cris, Valerie, and Dean; grandchildren Troy, Alyse & Michael, Ben, Ashley & Michael, Geoffrey, Cassie, Tyler & Shae, Josh, Lakota Kittyhawk, and Cienna; great-grandchildren Maicie, Kyle, Gionni, Zendaya, Olivia, Alyssa, Octavia, Serenity, Beckett, and Baylor. He is also survived by his siblings James & Otillia and Sister Mary Claude.
Frank touched many lives during his long life. His friendly comforting demeanor, unwavering devotion to his family, and common-sense approach to life will be missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3146 W. 96th Ave., Westminster, CO on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 11am. A viewing and Vigil Rosary will be held prior to the Funeral Mass; the viewing will begin at 10am and the Rosary at 10:30am.
A Memorial Lunch will be hosted by the Fraternal Order of Eagles – Northwest #4019, 8800 Federal Blvd., Federal Heights, CO following Mass.
