Gabriel Sisneros Obituary

Gabriel Arthur Sisneros of Denver passed away August 9,2025.

He was born in Mora, New Mexico on June 16,1938 to John Nepomuceno. Sisneros and Flora Martinez. He was married to Obre Sisneros for 65 years.

Gabe graduated from Brighton High School in 1957. He moved to Denver with his lovely bride around 1960 and began to build his life and family.

He worked as a bartender and waiter for several decades at the Historic Brown Palace in downtown Denver. Gabe was an avid runner who ran in 13 full marathons and several other events. He also loved hiking in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Gabe is preceded in death by both parents and one sister, Virginia.

Gabriel Sisneros is survived by his wife Obre Sisneros, his sisters Marie Bessie, Teresa Tasha and Beatrice and his brother John Joseph (Jose). Four children, Albert Sisneros of Lakewood, Robert Sisneros of Denver, Elizabeth Silvas (Raul) of Lakewood and Danny Sisneros (Rikki) of Northglenn. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Rosary and vigil service will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 6pm followed by mass Wednesday at 1pm. Both to be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood.
