Georgeann "Ann" Schamberger, 85, of
Thornton, Colorado, a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, was called home to heaven on March 17, 2026.
Ann was born on September 26, 1940, in
Denver, Colorado, a place she called home for the rest of her days. She lived a life marked by love, faith, and devotion to her family and community. Her faith was the foundation of her life and was evident in the kindness she showed to everyone she met. She was known for her generous spirit, her willingness to lend a helping hand, and her dedication to serving others. She faithfully volunteered at her church and touched many lives through her compassion and hospitality. Ann cherished creating a welcoming home and never missed an opportunity to graciously host family and friends. She was a talented gardener and found great joy tending to her flowers each summer.
Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years, Robert Schamberger; her parents, Ervin Allen and Ruth Snyder; her sister, Carla Dysart; and her nephew, Todd Dysart.
She is lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Dana McCall, who faithfully cared for her during the final six years of her life. She is also survived by her eldest son, Allen McCall, and her husband's daughter, Suzy Schamberger Esquibel (and Suzy's children), with whom she shared a special bond. In her later years, Ann's five grandchildren brought immense happiness to her life: Scott Abbott, Nicholas (Rachel) McCall, Mitchell (Megan) McCall, Ashlei (Sam) Conte, and Rylei (Michael) Duranczyk. She was also blessed with the cherished title of "Grandma-great" and was fortunate to live near many of her great-grandchildren.
Affectionately known as "Aunt Georgie," Ann will also be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews: Tammy (Ronnie) Engling, Troy (Cindy) Dysart, Tyler Dysart, and Nancy Dysart (widow of Todd), along with their extended families, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
A graveside service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery on April 13, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon at Foothills Restaurant, 3901 South Carr Street,
Denver, Colorado 80235. The family kindly requests RSVPs for the luncheon by April 3rd at 720-472-0870.
