Geraldine Grace Maier, 83, passed away peacefully in Denver, CO on December 4, 2025. Geraldine was born and grew up in Harvey, North Dakota. After graduating from Harvey High School, Geraldine attended Joseph’s School of Hair Design in Fargo, North Dakota and worked as a cosmetologist. Geraldine’s desire to continue her education gave her the skills to build a career in property management, real-estate, accounting and business management.
Geraldine was the beloved daughter of Edward and Theresa Kesler, and the wife of Richard C. Maier, all of whom preceded her in death. She is also reunited in eternal peace with her siblings William Kessler and Bernice (Kesler) Farrington.
Geraldine is survived by her loving siblings, Florence (Kermit) Alveshere, Loretta Kesler, and JoAnn (Glenn) Mayer and sister in-law LaVonne Kessler, along with several nieces, nephews and good friends.
Geraldine will be deeply missed by her daughter, Vonnie (Gary) Valdez, granddaughter Megan (Elijah) Smith and her treasured great-granddaughter Rinlee Smith.
Geraldine had various interest and hobbies. Geraldine was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed gardening and canning. She was exceptionally talented with refinishing furniture and making crafts.
Geraldine will be remembered for her kindness, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her life was a testament to resilience, family, friends and faith.
Memorial Services will be held on January 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church; 2675 So. Downing St. Denver, CO 80210.
