Ilse Nowold Obituary

Ilse E. Nowold, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on July 13, 2025 in Northglenn, Colorado. Ilse was born on February 20, 1935, in Germany to the late Fredrich and Margarete (Aberspach) Grundel. Ilse was raised in Germany and moved to the United States in the 1980’s. Ilse met her late husband, John R Nowold Jr., shortly after moving to the United States. During her younger years Ilse enjoyed traveling, painting, knitting, crocheting and music. Ilse loved spending time with her close by family. Ilse was a very strong and amazing person. Those people that knew her loved her, she will be missed dearly.

Ilse is survived by her children John Cunliffe and Carola Karr; her grandchildren Gerlinde, Sandra, Christian, Melanie, Michael, Darlene, Scott and Thomas; her great grandchild Tim and Jan (Gerlinde), Emily (Sandra), Samuel and Gabriel (Christian), Ryan and Amelia (Melanie), Dylan and Lorelei (Michael), Eli and Wesley (Darlene). In addition to her parents and husband, Ilse was preceded in death by her daughters, Hildegart Cunliffe, Linda Hosl and Sylvia Binder.

A private ceremony will be held for Ilse at a later time.
