Inez Arlene Curiel, age 89, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on September 29, 2025.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Inez lived a full and meaningful life marked by love, resilience, and devotion to her family and community. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, strength of spirit, and her remarkable ability to “throw a meal together” for anyone who walked through her door.
Inez is survived by her children, Michael and (Jill) Curiel, and Beth (Ted) Galus, and Craig and (Diana) Curiel; and her 3 grandchildren, Brandon Curiel, Brittany Galus, and Lauren Galus. She is also survived by her Brother Bruce Kasen and Nephew Wesley Kasen — who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents William Kasen and Helen Paroly.
Those who knew Inez will always remember her sharp, tell-it-like-it-is attitude, her warmth, humor, faith, cooking, and wisdom. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Shalom Park for the exceptional care she received over the past five years. Inez spent 10 years at Kavod Senior Life where she met a lot of great friends.
