Jade Cox Obituary

Jade Emily Cox
Born on August 12, 2005, in Grand Junction, CO.
Left our world on July 07, 2025, in Severance, CO in a tragic automobile accident.
Jade grew up in Grand Junction, CO. She was full of energy and applied that in everything she did. Jade played hockey with the Grand Junction Coyotes Hockey Team from age 6 to 15 years old. Her team and the league consisted mostly of boys, and she had no trouble standing up for herself as the underdog. Jade was not afraid of taking on the bullies and fiercely stood by her friends at any cost. Jade also participated in volleyball, basketball, Go-kart racing, and cheerleading throughout the years.
If you ever needed help, you could always count on Jade to show up and lend a hand.
She graduated from Greeley High School.
Jade is survived by a loving family. Jessica and Ryan Cox (parents), Floyd Cox (brother) and his wife Astraya, Alice (sister), Dan and Amy Johnson (grandparents), Janet Johnson (grandparent), Bob and Donna Cox (grandparents), Elias Loya (fiancé), along with a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family that cared for her like their own. Jade will be missed by a multitude of friends and family.
Services to honor her life will be held at a later date, time and place TBD.

I was unaware of her passing until today, 2 months later. She was a student of mine, and I adored her. We had long, in-depth conversations about her life, her future, and her dreams. I am crushed by her passing. She was one of my absolute favorites of the last 18 years. What a tragic loss. My deepest condolences to her family.

Jade! We love you so much, you will be forever missed.

The best part of Jade is, the big smile on her face when she would walk into a room always so bold so bright and so full of laughter... I would always be able to know when she was around because of her laugh... Her love to be around family even if it was for a little while she always knew how to be the one who would spark a conversation or make a funny joke in the most awkward quite moments or when everyone was trying to be serious, just to make you laugh. That´s the Jade I´ll always remember and forever cherish. There was never a dull moment when Jade was around the love she shared without a doubt could fill up the room... She will always be remembered and never forgotten. She is now our angel watching over us may she rest in peace... My condolences to the family and everyone who knew Jade. Sending lots of love, prayers and Strength in this time of grief.

I loved my cousin deeply we were never really close but we did hang out a few times. One of my favorite memories was doing a photo shoot with her and my other little cousin and our Aunt Mar. We had a blast walking down main Street taking pictures and laughing. She was always so bright and she lived her life. I'll forever miss her.
