Larry Mackintosh Obituary

Larry Fred Mackintosh (60) passed away on December 13th, 2025, residing in Denver, Colorado. Larry was born in Denver, CO on December 7th, 1965, to Beatrice Garcia. Larry was a hard worker who began his career in landscaping at a very young age. Larry took pride in landscaping well-known facilities such as Denver University, Colorado University and Loretta Heights.

Larry dedicated his life to caring for Danny and “Mom” Manuela Perez. Larry spent 36 years with his lifelong partner and wife Laura Tafoya. Larry was known for his love of music, his favorite band was Motley Crue and loved to bring all his nieces and nephews to their shows.

Larry was a devoted Husband, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Larry was a simple man with a heart of gold and will be truly missed. He is Survived by his wife Laura, sister’s Lorie (Manuel), Rena, Aunt’s; Annie, Alice, MaryAnn (Steve), Bernice (Arthur), Lucy, Uncle Pete (MaryJane), nephews; Danny, Michael (Carlee), Louis (Ivet), and Josh, nieces; Beatrice and Alize Garcia, Manuela, Nhya as well as his family by marriage Josephine, Blanch, Ray, Gloria (Gary), Gene as well as numerous nieces and nephews by marriage and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Larry is preceded in death by his mother Beatrice Garcia, Grandma (mom) Manuela Perez, uncle’s; Fred, Richard, Augie, and John (J.O. Sr) and aunts; Susan and Linda.

A viewing will be held Sunday, December 21st, 2025 at Horan & McConaty Lakewood from 3pm-5pm. A Funeral service will be held Monday, December 22nd, 2025 at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church starting at 11am, followed by a funeral procession to Mt. Olivet. After the burial, we would like to invite you to a reception at St.Bernadette’s hall. 

In honor of Larry’s favorite color we ask that you please wear red to the funeral.
