Lila Auld Obituary

Lila Kay Auld, 81, passed away on February 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and a life deeply cherished by those who knew her. For the past 20 years, she made her home in Roswell, New Mexico, while still maintaining her beloved house in Evergreen, Colorado - a place filled with memories and a reflection of the life she built. Born in Seattle, Washington, in 1944, Kay was the second child of Albert and Dorothy Roller.

She grew up surrounded by family, love, and the values that shaped her into the warm, generous woman so many adored. Kay found her greatest joy in the company of family and friends. She loved long car rides, quiet moments spent working on puzzles, spending time with her grandkids and the simple, contagious joy of laughter. Her presence brought comfort, and her spirit made every gathering brighter. Kay was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marcia Ellis; and her husband, Gary W. Auld.

She is survived by her son, Chris (Dawn); her daughter, Debbie (Ryan); her granddaughters, Emily and Amanda; and her grandson, Connor. Each of them carries forward her love, her humor, and the countless memories she created with them.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 1–4 p.m. at The Golden Hotel, 800 11th Street, Golden, CO 80401. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. May her memory be a blessing and a reminder of the joy, kindness, and laughter she brought into the world. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
