Linda Sue Lundquist passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on December 4, 2025, at the age of 73. Linda was born on July 30, 1952, in
Springfield, Minnesota, to Henry and Marjorie Vogt. She grew up in Lamberton, Minnesota alongside her siblings Larry Vogt, Myron Vogt, and Cindy Schlapkohl (Vogt), surrounded by faith, family, and community-values instilled in her by her parents and carried with her throughout her life.
Linda graduated from Lamberton Community High School, where she was involved in many extracurricular activities and proudly served as a pom-pom girl for the Comets. She later attended and graduated from Granite Falls Area Technical School, earning her degree in Medical Transcription and beginning a career marked by dedication and service.
After starting her career in Marshall, Minnesota, Linda took a vacation to Colorado that changed her life. Falling in love with the mountains, she took a leap of faith and moved to
Longmont, Colorado. It was there that Linda built her life-meeting her husband, raising her family, and finding the place she would forever call home.
Linda devoted over 40 years to the field of medical transcription, including 38 years with the Longmont Clinic / UCHealth. Her work ethic, reliability, and compassion reflected the same care she showed in every part of her life. Over the years, many of her co-workers became close friends-people she deeply cared for and loved very much, forming lasting bonds that extended far beyond the workplace.
Linda married Warren Lundquist, and together they shared 22 years of marriage and raised two daughters, Michelle and Kelli. Although their marriage later ended in divorce, Linda and Warren reconnected as friends and remained so until his passing.
Linda was loving to her core-deeply caring, endlessly compassionate, and always willing to help others. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a playful ornery streak at times, and just enough stubbornness to stand firm in what mattered most. One of her favorite sayings, "Don't quit," was not just advice, but a reflection of how she lived-with perseverance, faith, and grace.
Above all else, Linda loved being a mother. She loved her daughters, Michelle and Kelli, with her whole heart. She was the very best example of what a mother should be-selfless, nurturing, strong, and unwavering in her love. Through her life, she taught her daughters what truly matters: being kind, loving others, and having faith in God.
Linda shared an especially deep and beautiful bond with her grandson, Dylan. From the time he was young, their connection was filled with unconditional love, patience, and joy. Some of Linda's most treasured moments were spent with Dylan at the park-watching him play, laughing together, and simply being present with one another. She took great pride in him, delighted in his growth, and loved him fiercely. Dylan brought light and happiness into Linda's life, and she was endlessly grateful for every moment they shared-a love that will forever live on.
Her faith gently guided her, shaping the way she cared for others. Linda found joy in holidays, visiting family in Minnesota, long phone calls with loved ones, and time spent together-whether near or far. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, gardening, reading, traveling, cheering on the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings, appreciating sporty cars, and savoring life's simple pleasures.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Marjorie Vogt; her former husband Warren Lundquist; her sisters-in-law Carol Vogt and Sally Vogt; her great-nephew Mitch Johnson; and numerous close friends and family members who held a special place in her heart.
She is survived by her daughters Michelle Lundquist (Jesse) and Kelli Lundquist; her beloved grandson Dylan Crowe; bonus grandchildren Christian Crowe (Jamie) and Kali Foster(Crowe); her siblings Larry Vogt (Betty), Myron Vogt (Mary), and Cindy Schlapkohl (Scott); and loving family and friends-all of whom she loved deeply and cared for so very much.
