Mariam Ohimai, 66, of Edo Nigeria, was called home November 5th, 2025.
She was born to Hawa Sado, and the late Abdullah Sado, January 22 1959 in Edo Lagos. Mariam graduated from University of Benin in Edo state (Uniben) and received her BA in Nursing and Teaching from Phoenix University. She married Imo Ohimai in October of 1991 and they lived together in San Francisco, before relocating to Denver Colorado in 1994.
Mariam was a Banker, Teacher, Nurse and was passionate about making a difference in the lives of everyone she came across. She founded her own business and was an entrepreneur through and through.
Mariam was a devoted Christian, prayer warrior, faith driven person who worked hard and prayed harder. When she was not taking care of her two children, she was taking care of friends and family. She was a world traveler, God fearing woman, an amazing mother, sister, friend, and co worker. She was loved by many.
Mariam is survived by two children: Frederick Ehijagbon Ohimai San Francisco and Ahonsi Andrew Ohimai of Denver Colorado. She is also survived by one grandchild. She is preceded in death by her Father Abdullah Sado. Her two brothers Ahmed Sado and Lanray Sado.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to her children Ahonsi and Ehijagbon.
A viewing will be held at Newcomers Funeral Home from 10 am to 11 am Friday December 5th. Services will be held at newcomer Funeral Home immediately after with a burial service starting at 2pm at Eastlawn Cemetery.
