Martha "Peggy" Weathers, born on September 25, 1933, departed this life on November 28, 2025.
Peggy's legacy will be carried on by her loving husband, Doyle Weathers; her children, Marian Stobba (Greg) and Stephen Weathers (Stephanie); and her beloved grandchildren, Stephan and Sydney Weathers.
Peggy was a dedicated registered nurse at Victory Hospital in Waukegan, Illinois, for seventeen years. Peggy was admired for her compassionate care and her unwavering commitment to her patients.
Peggy was not only a skilled professional but also a gifted cook who reveled in the joy of entertaining family and friends. Her delightful meals and warm gatherings created lasting memories. She also enjoyed playing crossword puzzles, scrabble, and other engaging games.
Peggy enjoyed her role as a small group Bible Study Fellowship leader, where she guided and inspired others in their spiritual journeys. Her nurturing nature and strong faith resonated deeply with those she taught.
Peggy faced her battle with cancer over the past seven years with remarkable strength and resilience. Though given a prognosis that anticipated two years of life, she defied expectations and lived for seven years, inspiring her loved ones with her determination.
