Mary Kay Riley Dattore, a beloved wife, step-mother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on 02/28/2026 in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by her family. She was cherished by all who knew her, remembered for her smile, her enthusiasm and her love of quilting and bingo.
A Life Well Lived
Raised as a Navy brat, Mary developed a sense of adventure that she carried throughout her life. She was known for her infectious smile, gentle spirit, and ability to learn new things. Whether teaching quilting classes or paying bingo throughout the Eastern Shore, Mary brought a love of life to all who knew her.
Family and Legacy
Mary married George Dattore July 3, 1975. He Preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her sister Patricia Harrah, her brother Ken Riley, her sister in-law Jane Riley. stepdaughter Maria Evans, her niece Kimberly Whatley, and nephews Scott Plough, Sean Riley, Kevin Riley and Chris Riley. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to share in her life’s journey.
Remembering Mary
Mary Kay’s passions included quilting, walking, biking and bingo. She loved to visit her family in Colorado and was an avid skier with her husband George when they were younger.
Celebration of Life
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Tunnel to Towers or Saint Jude’s Hospital.
Mary Kay Riley Dattore will be deeply missed, but her love and vivacity will remain with us always.
