Mary Gracey Obituary

Mary Edith Gracey, age 97, passed away in her hometown of Denver, Colorado on July 3rd, 2025, after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Denver, she was a graduate of East High School. She met and married James Arthur Gracey on January 31, 1948. A devoted mother of four, she loved spending time with family. Her legacy lives on in each of them.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen A. (William W.) Weishaupl and her sons, Robert J., James P. and John J. Gracey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey S. Gracey, Karen A. Gracey, James J. Weishaupl, Rebecca A. (John D.) McKinney and Joan C. Weishaupl, and several great and great-great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husband, James, her parents, Edith and James Higgins, and her brothers George and Robert Higgins.

A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Denver on Tuesday, July 15th at 1pm. A reception will follow in the parish hall. A private burial service will be held at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
