Mary Jane Gunther 88, born in Denver, Colorado on September 30, 1937, passed away peacefully in Yuma, Arizona on December 11, 2025.
Mary was a good and faithful servant, devoting herself in making sure she shared her faith and belief in the loving saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Mary was a long-time member and loved her church family at Elmwood Baptist Church in Brighton, Colorado.
She was Preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Albert L. Gunther, and parents William Whelchel and Catherine Chadwich, brothers Bill and Andrew Whelchel, sisters Geraldine Enzman and Pennie Hilzer, and Grandson Andrew Anderson.
Mary is survived by her daughters Debra Anderson-Breazile (Don), Cathy Medina (Leo) and Peggy McKernan (Todd); her seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Mary to Elmwood Baptist Church, 13100 E. 144th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601, or to The Hansen House, 1750 W. Camino Kino, Yuma, AZ 85364.
