Mary Leiker Obituary

Mary Leiker, age 88, resident from Heather Gardens in Aurora, Colorado died recently on January 13, 2026. Mary had a gift for turning strangers into lifelong friends, maintaining relationships for years and shared deep connections with many people and relatives.

Mary loved to sew and garden. Her all time favorite hobby was decorating for Christmas!

Mary and her husband loved to travel and belonged to Ports of Call where they traveled to Portugal, Spain, Africa, Hawaii, Mexico, and Ireland. They also had a fifth wheel for 10+ years and took many trips to Vancouver Island, B.C., where they made many memories with dear friends.

Mary loved her husband dearly. While he resided at a nursing home for five years, she would visit him twice a day.

Following her husband’s death Mary traveled to Austria, Poland, Amsterdam, Saudi Arabia, and the Maldives. She spent many Christmases with friends in Hawaii. She also loved to travel domestically to visit her sisters and brother, as well as their families.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband and dear granddaughter, and survived by her three sons, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren (with two on the way!).

Mary will be DEEPLY missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her friends. May she rest in eternal peace.
