Mason was one of the funniest and the greatest friend!! We worked together at Kingsoopers and when he left we always met once a month for dinner at places we have never tried! He taught me allot about friendship and keeping in touch. He will truly be missed. My heart is broken and I know he is cooking for all the angels above!

Mason was one of the kindest man I know. I will miss is laugh and smile. RIP you will be missed forever in our hearts

He was one of the good ones. I worked with him for a few years at king soopers. I loved mason like a son. We had many many laugh out loud talks. He will be missed.

I am at a loss for words as we again lost another great Officer, and friend. I met Lenz when I transferred to DWCF. He was always at the lobby greeting staff with a smile and a little chuckle here and there. Then he left me there to go to med trans. I told him, "That was not Cool Man lol" When he moved to Med Trans he was a lot more happier and you can tell he was ready to go. I am sure going to miss that smile and personality. Lenz you were an amazing friend that will be missed by all. RIP My friend!! We got it from here.

Mason had the biggest heart ❤ and smile . He was one of the most self disciplined and caring individuals I have ever met. He was such a pleasure to be around with that great laugh and truly thoughtful personality. What a blessing and gift he was to so many people. XOXO

The sudden loss of Mason has been felt deeply by our entire team; he was a dedicated professional and a true brother to his fellow officers. To lose him so unexpectedly and so soon is a tragedy that leaves a profound void at the Denver Complex and in our hearts. On behalf of myself and all who served alongside him, our thoughts and prayers are with Mason’s family and friends. Rare is the ability to make a significant, positive impact so quickly. Officer Lenz possessed that gift. Both professionally and personally, he became part of our CDOC family from the start. Known for his genuine, subtle personality (and that amazing smile), he drew people in easily as only a quality person could. He had a knack for the business of corrections, but more importantly the people in it. Mason will be missed greatly.

I do take condolence in the fact that we spend your last Sunday Superbowl together sharing food and drinks! Lenz was a true professional. He often worked kitchen security on the DW side of the prison complex. He was always a pleasure to talk to and will surely be missed. Heaven has a new angel.

Working with Officer Lenz was a gift. No matter how tough the day, he showed up with a positive attitude and a calm presence that lifted those around him. I didn't know Lenz very well but he was a very nice man and always made sure to say hi with a smile on his face. Rest In Peace and Be At Peace Linz.
