Monika Guettlein Kary, 76, of Denver, passed away peacefully at Windsor Gardens Retirement Community. She was born in Germany on September 9, 1949, to Johannes and Rosa Guettlein. In 1956, Monika immigrated to Colorado with her parents and five of her siblings. She attended George Washington High School, graduating in 1967. During her younger years, she cherished time spent with friends and family.
In 1979, Monika married Michael E. Kary, and the couple later moved to Texas, where their son, Michael A. Kary, was born in 1981. The family returned to Colorado in 1986. Monika owned and operated a successful house-cleaning business until her retirement, remaining dedicated and hardworking throughout her life.
She is survived by her son, Michael Kary; daughter-in-law, Erin Kary; grandchildren, Zachary, Brianna, and Claire Kary; and five step-grandchildren.
Monika will be remembered for her resilience, independence, and spirited stubbornness, which carried her through life.
