Neila Ann (Meyer) Amore was born in
Fort Collins, Colorado on May 30, 1993 to Alan Meyer and Monica Engle. Neila passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026 at the age of 32, leaving behind countless people whose lives she touched with her kindness and warmth.
Neila graduated from Poudre High School in Fort Collins, and went on to receive a bachelor degree at CU Boulder. She worked at multiple companies in the Denver area as a demand planner, where her colleagues knew her not just for her talent with complex supply-chain spreadsheets, but for the energy and genuine care she brought to every interaction.
Neila met Brian through his sister Melanie, whom Neila worked with at the time at Margot Elena. They fell in love during that fall of 2019 and were inseparable. They proceeded to get married on August 26, 2022, and built a beautiful life together in
Morrison, Colorado with their beloved dogs and cats.
Neila was preceded in death by her mother, Monica Engle, and her mother-in-law Nancy Amore. She is survived by her husband Brian, father Alan Meyer, step-mother Kathy Ayer, sister Amy Meyer and husband Eugene Wan, their son Auden, sister in law Melanie, multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished her deeply.
Neila found joy in the simple beauties of life. She delighted in tending to her plants and garden, exploring trails on long hikes, watching snow blanket the mountains, and floating peacefully in the lake. Nature had a way of centering her spirit. In the kitchen, she expressed her love through cooking-perfecting her bread recipe, creating countless home-cooked meals, and always making sure those around her were well-fed and well-loved. Her compassion extended to all living things, and anyone who knew Neila witnessed her tender care for animals and her generous heart.
Those who loved Neila will forever remember her quick wit and infectious, silly sense of humor, the genuine warmth she showed to everyone she met, and her gift for making people feel truly seen and valued. Whether sharing a meal she'd lovingly prepared, offering a listening ear, or simply being present, Neila had a way of making the world feel a little brighter.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled later this Spring.
