Pamela Kuhn Obituary

Pamela Alane Morton Kuhn 1947 – 2026

Pamela Alane Morton Kuhn, a beloved Nana, mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2026, surrounded by those she loved. The first-born child of John and Frances Morton, Pam was raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, where her strong will, deep compassion, and unwavering sense of responsibility began to take shape.

Pam dedicated her life to family unity, instilling ethics, and providing spiritual nourishment to those around her. One of her favorite sayings—“The key is consistency and perseverance”— reflected the way she lived: steady, principled, and always moving forward with purpose.

Her interests and abilities were as wide-ranging as they were impressive. From bowling a perfect game in the 1980s to crafting intricate quilts, Pam approached everything with focus and heart. Whip smart and ready to take the lead, she studied nursing, taught in the classroom, and ultimately built a long and accomplished career in Human Factors Engineering, traveling across the United States and internationally. She brought curiosity, rigor, empathy, and precision to every role she held.

Pam loved a deep conversation, a good book, and any opportunity to teach—especially when it came to helping her grandchildren learn to read. She was a proud member of P.E.O. Chapter GZ, where she championed women supporting women. She also found joy and lifelong friendship in The Wannabees, her quilting bee of decades, where she told stories through fabric and gifted countless quilts that became cherished keepsakes for those lucky enough to receive them.

Her presence was steady, her values clear, and her heart open to anyone who needed a place to land.

Pamela is survived by her husband of 42 years, Marshall Kuhn; her children, William Allen and Susanne Allen–Acua (Javier); and her cherished grandchildren, Madissen and Maxwell Allen, and Avery and Bianca Acua, who were the joy and light of her life. She also leaves behind her brother, John Morton, extended family, and friends who will forever carry her memory forward.

Pam’s legacy lives on in the character of her children, the laughter of her grandchildren, and the many lives she touched with her warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength.
