Randy Keith Reed, 62, a resident of Denver, died Sep. 26, 2023. Lighthouse Family Mortuary is in charge of burial services.
Randy was born on Nov. 21, 1960, in Danville, IL, son of Lona (Erwin) Reed and the late Kenneth Reed. He served in the Air Force as an SR-71 and U-2 technician from 1978-1982. He was a proud "Black Cat" and member of the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing, Beale AFB, CA and served at Osan Air Base in the Republic of Korea. After his military service, Randy worked for many years in the Aerospace industry, servicing components for the NASA Space Shuttle Program. He was a big fan of the Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, Cubs and Bulls. He was a Christian.
Randy is survived by his former wife, Cathleen Hart, and their children; son, Kevin (Allison) Reed of Commerce City, CO; and daughter, Jennifer (Chase) Tatum of Spring Hill, TN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Heidi (Caleb) Stuhldreier, Kolton Reed, Annika Reed, Kurtis Reed, Keith Reed, Melody Reed, Michael Tatum, and Nicholas Tatum; and one great-grandson, Bailey Stuhldreier. In addition, he is survived by three brothers, Kenny Reed, Matthew Reed, Frank Reed; three sisters, Kathy Jones, Lisa Butler, Nancy Jones, and Theresa Turner; and his former wife, Carmen Hursey.
A Wake & Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 4:00pm, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2515 W. 16th Street, Greeley, CO 80634.
The Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 10:30am, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
