Rebecca Kocher Obituary

Rebecca Arriens Kocher, born on January 16, 1967, in Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on December 16, 2025, at home in Littleton, Colorado. Her journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to her passions, her family, and her unwavering faith.

Rebecca began her professional career at the Boeing Company, where she met the love of her life, Fred. Her impressive career continued at Lockheed Martin, where she dedicated fifteen years supporting many critical defense programs. Most recently she supported the strategic missile defense team as the CAD lead specialist for the Fleet Ballistic Missile program, in a job that she loved, solving problems and bringing the 2D paper program into the 21st century where 3D models rule.

Education was important to Rebecca, and she earned her Bachelor's Degree from Florida State University, graduating as part of the Class of 1989. Her knowledge and skills were outshone only by her beautiful spirit—a combination of sincerity, kindness, and steadfastness that made her a beloved figure in her community.

Throughout her life, Rebecca was filled with a sense of adventure and appreciation for the beauty of nature. She cherished her time shell collecting, ensuring that each shell she picked from the beaches of Florida was perfect. Her zest for life extended to a wide array of hobbies including camping, photography, traveling, hiking, kayaking, wind surfing, skiing, and most notably, her aspiration to visit all 63 national parks. Rebecca's passions inspired those around her, reminding everyone of the beauty and magic that exists in the world.

At the core of her being, she remained a devoted life long Christian Scientist. And was an active member of her church, The Christian Science End Time Center for more than 30 years. Alongside her steadfast husband Frederick, whom she was proud to be married to for 34 wonderful years, Rebecca found joy in building a loving family. She leaves behind her two sisters, Brenda (Jacqui) and Dominque (Joe), and two brothers, Marc (Julie) and Rene (Sandy), along with many cherished nieces and nephews. Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will forever resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.

In remembrance of her beautiful soul, a Celebration of Life service will be held on January 16, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in West Metro, Denver, Colorado. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and share memories of a remarkable woman who graced this world with her presence.

Rebecca's parents, Fran Arriens and Rosemary Hector, have preceded her in death, leaving a passage of love and lessons learned for those she leaves behind. As we bid farewell to Rebecca, we celebrate the genuine spirit she embodied—a woman whose kindness and strength illuminated the path for so many and a beloved partner, sister, aunt, and friend who will remain in our hearts eternally.

In lieu of flowers the family politely requests donations be made to American Cancer Society or to her church The Christian Science End Time Center
