In Loving Memory of Richard P. Casias
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard P Casias, a beloved husband, father, proud grandfather, cherished co-worker, and loyal friend to many. He passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025 at the age of 86, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on September 5, 1938 in Aguilar, Co, Richard lived a life marked by love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those around him. A loving spouse to Eleanor of 68 years, they built a life full of laughter, strength, and partnership. As a father and grandfather, Richard was a steady source of wisdom, warmth, and guidance.
Richard was known not only for his deep devotion to his wife, but also for his strong work ethic and camaraderie in the workplace. Colleagues became close friends, drawn to his generous spirit, sense of humor, and sincere care for others. He had a unique gift for making everyone feel seen and valued with some kind of smart aleck remark, as many of you know he had that side of humor.
Outside of work and family, Richard enjoyed reading, working in his yard, being a handy man, and always found time to help a friend or family in need or share a story that brought a smile.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him, but his legacy of love, strength, hard work and kindness will live on in the hearts of family and friends.
Richard is survived by his wife Eleanor; children Steve Casias, Annette Gomez, Alan Casias, Victor Casias, Rachelle Sierra, Tammy Casias, Angela (Danny) Pacheco; several grandchildren & great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son Richard D Casias.
