Richard Jepsen Obituary

Richard Louis Jepsen

June 27, 1928 – November 16, 2025

Richard Louis Jepsen went peacefully to heaven from Denver Hospice at the age of 97 on Sunday, November 16, 2025 after a long life filled with love and faith.

Richard was born June 27, 1928, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Louis and Chloe Jepsen. He graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1946 and attended Oklahoma A&M. Richard served in The United States Army during the Korean War and later retired as a self-employed Builder/ General Contractor. Richard was a faithful man to his Lord first, and family always.

Richard is survived by his children: Jody (Brian) Neumann, Jon (Laurie Peacock-Garrett) Jepsen, Jennifer (Jerry Maschka) Jepsen, Janna (Mark) Gunn, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and sister, Sarah Mareburger.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Patsy Jepsen, brother Robert Jepsen, mother, Chloe Oreta Martin Jepsen, and father, Louis Peder Jepsen.

In addition to his unparalleled devotion to his lord and family, Richard was an avid gardener, a chicken whisperer, and had an affinity for history, astronomy, and geology. He was also known for predicting the weather better than the best meteorologist.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Crow Hill Bible Church, 75 Bull Dogger Dr, Bailey, CO 80421.

The family would like to thank The Denver Hospice and the 5th floor staff of Saint Anthony's Lakewood for their compassion and support.

Richard was most thankful for the saving grace of Jesus Christ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Chuck Lewis Ministries or Dunamis International, both of which he faithfully supported for many years.
