Robert Wayne Van Uffelen Obituary

Robert Wayne Van Uffelen unexpectedly left his earthly home and beloved family the morning of June 9, 2025. Robert Wayne was born in Redlands, California on September 5, 1964, to Dick and Winnefred Van Uffelen. As a young boy he thrived and enjoyed working on his family's dairy farm. Many wonderful memories were made working along side his father, brother John, and Uncle Bud. Even after he moved to Colorado seeing or petting a cow brought him great joy.
In July of 1984 Robert met the love of his life, Tammy Jean Ezinga. They were married on July 2, 1986, in Redlands, CA surrounded by family and friends. They were blessed with three children, Stephanie, Derek, and Ashley. In 1994, Rob and Tammy moved to Loveland, CO. Rob worked for a few civil engineering firms before landing at Galloway & Co. Rob loved going to work there and eventually became a partner! Workdays passed quickly for him due to his "family" of co-workers. Herm, James, Kyle, Nate and so many others, thank you for all you were to him!
Rob's love and faith in Jesus Christ as His Savior was evident in his daily walk while on this earth. This love shined brightly in the caring of his wife and raising of his children. Nothing brought greater joy to Rob than spending time with his family. Many wonderful memories were made, from the late nights working on math problems with the kids to the adventures of family vacations that Rob loved to take his family on. Rob felt ever more blessed when his children married and Mike, Jennifer and Dolan were added to the family. Even more precious to Rob were his grandchildren that he loved to make smile, "Oh how grandpa loved You!".
Robert touched so many lives with his contagious smile, laugh, generosity and kindness! We who were blessed to love and call him ours will be forever changed. We know that he is now in Heaven, free from the health problems that bothered him for so long. Our hearts ache, but we know we shall be together again!
Robert is survived by his beloved wife Tammy of almost 39 years; his three children, Stephanie (Mike) Uittenbogaard, Derek (Jennifer) Van Uffelen, and Ashley (Dolan) Boonstra; six grandchildren, Zoe Uittenbogaard, Tessa Uittenbogaard, Ivy Uittenbogaard, Ayla Van Uffelen, Kamryn Van Uffelen, and Mason Van Uffelen; his mother Winnefred Van Uffelen; four siblings, Donna (Lew) Bruinsma, John (Linda) Van Uffelen, JoAnne (Doug) Pastoor, and Laura (Ron) Van Voorthuysen; a father-in-law Ray Ezinga; a brother-in-law Steve (Jodi) Ezinga; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Rob is preceded in death by his dear father Dick Van Uffelen, mother-in-law Jean Ezinga, and sister-in-law with her husband Pam (Larry) Kooienga.
"Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee." Psalm 116:7
