No puedes describir a Mateo sin mencionar primero lo cariñoso que fue como padre. La primera y verdaderamente única prioridad de Mateo era su querido hijo, Juniour Cruz. Mateo estaba extremadamente orgulloso de su hijo y haría cualquier cosa por él. Mateo finalmente encontró su vocación el día en que fue bendecido con Juniour.
Mateo también era conocido por ser un hombre apuesto que amaba cantar. Su valentía era legendaria en la familia, sacaba sonrisas a todos. Su capacidad para canalizar esa energía y permitirle coger un micrófono, subir al escenario y dominar la sala con cualquier canción que eligiera cantar, era impresionante. Mateo también sentía un amor increíble por su familia. Daría la camiseta que llevaba por cualquiera a quien quisiera.
Mateo nunca será olvidado, su canto resonará en nuestros corazones para siempre.
Mateo deja en vida a sus padres, Michelle Muniz e Hipolito Meza-Franco; hermanos, Rosy y Timo Cruz; y una gran familia extensa y cariñosa.
Le preceden en la muerte sus hermanos, José 'Chepe' Meza, Pedro Meza Jr.; su abuela, Lucy Cruz; y su abuelo, Rutilio Meza Cortez.
Se celebrará una Velatoria y Servicio en Lighthouse Family Mortuary, 3600 W. 22nd Street, Greeley, CO, el jueves 12 de febrero de 2026 de 18:00 a 20:00.
Se celebrará una Celebración de la Vida en la Morgue Familiar Lighthouse el viernes 13 de febrero de 2026 a las 12:30 pm. Tras la celebración, se realizará un servicio en la tumba en el cementerio Linn Grove, Greeley, CO.

X-avier 'Mateo' Cruz, 19, of Loveland, Colorado, was welcomed into Heaven on February 1, 2026. He was born on September 21, 2006, in Laramie, Wyoming, to Michelle Muniz & Hipolito Meza-Franco.
You can't describe Mateo without first mentioning how loving of a father he was. Mateo's first and truly his only priority was to his beloved son, Juniour Cruz. Mateo was extremely proud of his son & he would do anything for him. Mateo had finally found his calling the day he was blessed with Juniour.
Mateo was also known as a handsome man who loved to sing. His bravado was legendary in the family, bringing smiles to everyone. His ability to channel that energy and allow him to grab a microphone, climb on stage, and command the room with any song he chose to sing, was breathtaking. Mateo also had an incredible love for his family. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone whom he loved.
Mateo will be never be forgotten, his singing will resonate within our hearts forever.
Mateo is survived by his parents, Michelle Muniz & Hipolito Meza-Franco; siblings, Rosy & Timo Cruz; and a large loving extended family.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Jose 'Chepe' Meza, Pedro Meza Jr.; grandmother, Lucy Cruz; and grandfather, Rutilio Meza Cortez.
A Visitation & Service will be held at Lighthouse Family Mortuary, 3600 W. 22nd Street, Greeley, CO on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lighthouse Family Mortuary on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 12:30pm. A Graveside service at Linn Grove Cemetery, Greeley, CO will follow the Celebration.
