Yvonne M Laskey passed away peacefully on July 12, 2023, in Peoria, Arizona. She was born to Hugh and Ellen Capron on February 10, 1936, in Greeley, Colorado. She grew up in Denver and graduated from East High School in 1954 when she also met her beloved John Laskey. They married and raised two children, Steven and Deborah while working together running Custom Auger Drilling Service, founded in 1960. She ran the company from their home in southwest Denver while John worked on the drilling rig in the early years. Together, they grew Custom Auger into the premier soils test drilling company in Denver and throughout Colorado. Yvonne was proceeded in death by her husband John in 2001, her brother Donald Capron, sister-in-law Helen Capron, brother-in-law Raymond Faller, and sister-in-law Joanne Weaver. Yvonne is survived by her children, Steven and Nancy (Littleton, CO), Debbie (Sun City West, AZ), four grandchildren, Sharon Chris, Lindi, and Daniel, and 5 great grandchildren, Reagan, Parker, Owen, Theo, and Conner, along with sister-in-law Patrica Faller (Denver, CO). Yvonne led a very active life surrounded by family and lifelong friends with whom she enjoyed many activities, including travels throughout the US and Europe. One of the highlights of her travels was a behind-the-scenes tour of the White House, where she had the privilege of bowling while wearing former First-Lady Pat Nixon's bowling shoes. She was an active Snowbird in Sun City West, AZ during retirement to escape the cold Colorado winters. She later returned there with Debbie where she spent her last years close to her children. Yvonne will be interred with John at Fort Logan National Cemetery on August 21, 2023, at 1:30pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Holiday Inn, 7390 W Hampton Ave, Lakewood, CO 80227.
