Eva Sue Whitlow

January 18, 1937 - April 22, 2025

Eva Sue Fleenor Whitlow, age 88, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at NHC of Bristol. She was born on January 18, 1937, in Bristol, Va., daughter of the late Bryan Lee and Lessie Bea Pickle Fleenor. Sue was a Blountville High School 1955 graduate, graduated from Radford University and also attended Virginia Tech. Sue retired from Wachovia Bank with 25 years of service where she worked as Vice President. She was an animal lover, Hokie Fan, and extensive traveler visiting 48 states, The Great Wall of China and loved seeing the icebergs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Wayne Fleenor.

Survivors include her nephew, Scott Fleenor (Beth); niece, Lisa McCrary (Phillip); great niece, Abby Fleenor; cousin who was more like a sister, Joan Calhoun; several other cousins; beloved cat, J.J.; and caregivers, Kathy Hayden and Phoebe Carr.

A service may be held at a later date.
