Judee Babington Obituary

Caldwell, ID - With heavy hearts, we announce the February 2nd, 2025, passing of our beloved mother, Judee Babington, a kind and radiant soul who brought light to everyone she met.

Born July 22nd, 1943, in Boise, Idaho, to Dwight and June Cummings, Judee was a force of life, full of love, laughter, and adventure.

Judee excelled in school and loved her years playing clarinet in the marching band. During this time, she worked at King's Department Store and spent summers helping at her uncle's popsicle factory. Shortly after graduating from Caldwell High School, while working at Sears Roebuck, she met Del Deide. They went on to marry and have three wonderful children: Brent, Scot, and Tracy. Their professional lives moved them throughout the western states, creating cherished memories, and instilling a love for the outdoors in their family.

In 1984, Judee married the love of her life, her "favorite dance partner", and best friend, Jack Babington. Their union blended two families, as Judee's three children joined Jack's daughters, Jaylene and Cara, creating their new full and loving family.

When Jack passed away in January 2024, Judee found solace in the promise that they would one day be reunited. While her departure came too soon for us, we find comfort knowing she is once again by his side in heaven.

Judee is survived by her loving children, Brent Deide (Kelley), Scot Deide (Michelle), and Tracy Deide; her cherished stepdaughters, Jaylene Seamons (Jim) and Cara Royle; her beloved nephew, Mike Bishop; and her wealth of grandchildren, who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Babington; her parents, Dwight and June Cummings; her sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Mike Ireland; and her great-granddaughter, Morgan Hansen.

A memorial service will be held in the spring, when the butterflies return to celebrate Judee's beautiful life. Announcement to follow.
