Dale Vogel Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Dale Vogel age 64 of Howells, NE will be on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Olean with interment in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Howells, NE. A luncheon will follow at the Howells Community Catholic Social Hall in Howells. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Olean with a Vigil Service and Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting the family with the arrangements. Dale passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, NE Dale Wilbert Vogel was born on September 15, 1960 in West Point, NE to Wilbert and Veronica (Gentrup) Vogel. He attended Sacred Heart Academy-Olean, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School and graduated from Howells High School in 1978. Dale began farming with his father and continued farming some of the same ground homesteaded by the Vogel family near Olean. On June 25, 1983, Dale was united in marriage to Jolene Ruskamp at St. Boniface Catholic Church-Monterey. The couple lived north of Olean, where they raised their family. Dale also raised hogs until 2009. He then enjoyed going to coffee in Howells and playing golf at Club 91 Golf Course at Leigh, NE. Dale was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Howells Knights of Columbus and the Olean Catholic Order of Foresters. He enjoyed his sudoku puzzles, playing minesweeper, watching western movies and show, and was an avid Husker Football fan. Survivors include- Wife-Jolene Vogel of Howells, NE Son-Christopher and Lili Vogel of Ponder, TX Daughter-Beth Vogel of Omaha, NE Daughter-Sara Vogel of Howells, NE Son-Brian Vogel of Lincoln, NE His siblings-RoseAnn and Francis Sindelar of Grand Island, NE Kenneth and Carol Vogel of Clarkson, NE Gerald and Linda Vogel of Norfolk, NE James and Mary Vogel of Lincoln, NE Dale has aunts, uncles, and several nieces and nephews that also survive him. Dale was preceded in death by his parents-Wilbert and Veronica Vogel.
