Kenneth Hall Obituary
Kenneth R. "Kenny" Hall, age 88, of Newton Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 20, 2025. Born on November 2, 1936, in Belpre, Ohio, and spent his last moments surrounded by his family in Newton Falls, Ohio. His departure leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and the unforgettable twinkle of his kind spirit.
Kenny, the beloved husband of Nancy L. Hall cherished their 66 years of marriage, a testament to enduring love and partnership. After growing up in Newton Falls and becoming a 1955 high school graduate, he honorably served his country as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the United States Army. Upon returning to civilian life, Kenny built a reputation as a Master Bumper Engineer at Rockwell Manufacturing. He went on to expertly operate overhead cranes for Copperweld Steel Company, ensuring seamless operations and leaving an indelible mark through his hard work and dedication.
Towards his later years, Kenny transitioned into more community-focused roles. He served as a funeral greeter and hearse operator at Borowski Memorial Home, where his warm presence offered solace during times of sorrow. Kenny also became a familiar and friendly face at Ace Hardware, endearingly known as the "Helpful Hardware Man," always ready to share his expertise and a smile.
Beneath his professional accolades, Kenny's soul sang in the great outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he relished time spent in nature's embrace. His garden was a palette of vibrant colors, with his lawn Greener than an envious leprechaun. Spending time at the beach with his wife was a hallowed ground for Kenny, where sunbathing renewed his spirit. Perhaps most endearing was his love for dogs, and no furry friend could escape the treats that seemed to magically appear from his pockets, especially for his beloved dog, Peaches, and all grand dogs.
Kenny's legacy of kindness and resilience lives on through his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elizabeth Hall; brothers, Max and Donald and sister, Faye Hall Shulman; brother in-laws, William Geidner, and Col. (Ret.) Terrence (TA) Smith. Kenny's memories will be tenderly carried forward by his surviving sisters, Darlene Geidner, Karen (Earl) Turner, and Michele Smith; his children, Kenny (Kim) Hall, Michael (Brenda) Hall, and his daughter, Beth (David) Veselich, and Renee Hall, have all been deeply molded by his unwavering support and love. Kenny's grandchildren-Taylor (Justin) Montgomery, Michael (Marisa) Veselich, Kendall, Kiley, and Joey Hall-were gifted with countless lessons and laughs from their grandfather.
His great-grandchildren, Michael, Madelyn, and soon to arrive Rosalyn, will grow up knowing his stories and feeling the love he had for his family; along with numerous nephews and nieces.
The family takes comfort in knowing that Kenny left them surrounded by love in Newton Falls, the place he called home and filled with beautiful memories that will be cherished forever. Kenny's influence extended well beyond the boundaries of his blood relations; friends, colleagues, and even strangers felt the warmth of his generous spirit.
As the sun sets on a life well-lived, Kenneth R. Hall leaves behind a legacy as enduring as the earth he so loved. His legacy will continue to flourish in the lives he touched, the land he tended, and the community he helped build. Kenny's departure is indeed the closing of a remarkable chapter, but the story of his life's impact will be told for generations. Rest in peace, dear Kenny, the world is a better place for having had you in it.
